Are you a natural leader? Whether you are interested in a general business management path, an aviation-focused degree or certificate, or want to further your management education with a master’s degree―Vaughn College has the resources to set you up for a successful career.
After finishing a management certificate or an associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree program, Vaughn graduates successfully enter the workforce for both entry-level and mid-level management roles at corporations of all sizes. We have seen graduates move on to lead teams of air traffic controllers, oversee business policies and operations and manage entire airlines and airports. This could be you.

Meet the Department Chair
Dr. Maxine Lubner is chair of the management department and professor at Vaughn College. Her knowledge and firsthand experience in the diverse areas of this field is a true asset to our students. Having chaired both the aviation and management departments at Vaughn College, she now focuses her time on the management curriculum. Keeping new industry research and demand in mind, Dr. Lubner has introduced new degrees and many cutting-edge certificate programs. Before joining the team at Vaughn, she worked at NYU’s School of Social Work in the doctorate program, and served as executive director of the CUNY Aviation Institute at York College. The FAA sponsored her research, which includes studies in pilot training programs for general aviation. As a representative of a consortium of universities and companies, Dr. Lubner has promoted aviation education and information exchange between the US and Tanzania. She received a Bachelor of Science and an honor’s degree in psychology from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and also earned a master’s and doctorate degree in sociomedical sciences from Columbia University.
If you are the type of person who is looking for a fast-paced and exciting career within the aviation industry, working as an airport manager may be for you. The manager of an airport can be compared to the mayor of a small city, since both jobs require the utilization of numerous management and interpersonal skills. The management programs prepare students for all aviation management career fields, as well as for general business or management.
At Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology we offer both full-time and part-time programs that are offered both day and evening, as well as on Saturdays in the fall and spring semesters. We offer all management programs online as well.
