Safety with the SMS Certificate Program

The Safety Management System certification at Vaughn is a top-down and bottom-up business approach to managing safety risk and leading aviation safety. To implement SMS successfully in an organization, all workers need to know and apply SMS principles and concepts.

Throughout the courses in the 12-credit program, you will be exposed to the most current technology and research, industry experts and hands-on learning opportunities. Vaughn’s career-oriented focus in this program helps students build the problem-solving, leadership and analytical skills needed to be successful in their chosen fields.

 

Aviation safety continues to play a major role in the aviation and transportation industry. Students who complete this program have a strong foundation and understanding of proper safety protocols, how to best apply safety management systems in various environments, while having the ability to lead the education of others in this area.
