Becoming an Airport Manager of the Future
Vaughn College’s airport management certificate introduces students to the business management concepts required to become a successful airport manager. From business and retail, aviation operations and community relations, to government impact and financial complexities―students will learn the skills and have the tools to manage airports of all sizes. Students are exposed to the interactions between the international and regulatory environment and commercial applications in order that they can successfully examine and manage airports.
Responsibilities required in the management of airport operations include a regular audit of varying weather conditions, geographic settings and infrastructure. Our airport management certificate will cover all of these areas so that students can develop the foundation for careers as successful airport managers.
WHAT YOU'LL STUDY
In the airport management certificate, you will take four three-credit courses in the classroom, online and in accepted hybrid formats. Our airport management certificate was designed to expose students to all the essential elements of the industry and related roles, while also allowing them to take these courses in accommodation with their diverse schedules and needs.
Whether you are pursuing the airport management industry for the first time or looking to expand your previous education and professional experience, our certificate program will help you achieve success in a variety of airport management jobs. You have the option to finish the certificate in one semester, or spread it out over several. In addition, if you are interested in expanding your education further, you can transfer your credits to Vaughn’s AAS or BS in airport management. Many students decide to pursue another degree, in either the same area or another area of management, aviation or engineering and technology after completing the airport management certificate.
