Counseling and Wellness

Mission Statement

The mission of the office of counseling and wellness (OCW) is to support the students of Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in their personal, academic and career endeavors by providing counseling services. All matriculated students, including undergraduate and graduate students, are eligible for direct services which include crisis intervention, short-term individual and couples counseling, support group services and community referrals from a licensed clinician. The OCW is dedicated to promoting the overall health and emotional well-being of Vaughn students through educational outreach events, preventative and supportive counseling and referral services. We provide consultation services to faculty, staff and student organizations.

Vision Statement

The office of counseling and wellness believes that good mental health is the cornerstone of personal, academic and career success. Its aim is to support the learning environment of the College by providing mental health services, outreach programming for students and consultative services regarding student concerns to faculty and staff.

Additionally, the office of counseling and wellness is available to provide student groups and organizations with psycho-educational presentations, programs and workshops that can help to enhance and educate their members about issues related to emotional health and wellness.
