The uncharted territory of novel, tele-education initiatives didn’t stop more than 260 prospective students and their families from logging onto Vaughn College’s first-ever virtual open house events.
The International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) Foundation awarded individual scholarships to eight students seeking a career in business aviation. Among the eight were two current Vaughn College students, Bowie Tam ’20 and Jenelle Samuel ’22.
The Vaughn Engineering and Technology Department hosted its second annual STEM Day workshop for community college students on Friday, March 6.

Vaughn College hosted more than 70 teams from surrounding counties for the sixth annual VEX U and VRC Qualifier robotics tournaments on Friday, February 28 and Saturday, February 29.
The management department began their speaker series for the spring semester with Michel Ajjan, account manager at Lufthansa Group.
On Saturday, February 22, Vaughn hosted the VEX IQ competition launching the robotics series for this semester.
The engineering and technology department launched this spring’s industry connection seminar series with Matthew Pearce, national aeronautics and space administration (NASA) education programs specialist and Rosalba Giarratano, pathways intern at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
The Cradle of Aviation Museum proudly hosted Vaughn College's unmanned aerial vehicles club for its first Tiny Whoop Contest on Saturday, February 1.
