Vaughn College hosted its new and transfer student orientation on Thursday, January 7, 2016. The orientation session served as an introduction for students recently accepted to the College.

Students began the day with a welcome from Vaughn College President Dr. Sharon B. DeVivo and Said Lamhaouar, vice president of student affairs and academic support. The event consisted of panel discussions that discussed various aspects of the Vaughn College experience, from academic advisement and support, to athletics and student engagement.

After the final panel discussion, the students were given a campus tour and received their college IDs, symbolizing their official welcome to the Vaughn College community.

“These events are so important to our students,” said Jack Gormley, dean of students. “Orientation introduces them not only to the campus, but to all of the academic and career services Vaughn has to offer them inside and outside the classroom.”

Vaughn will hold its next orientation session on Thursday, January 21 and a session for international students on Friday, January 22. You can sign up for those sessions here. The spring 2016 semester begins on Monday, January 11 for ATI students and on Tuesday, January 19 for all other programs.
