The Vaughn College Warriors sprinted out to a 20-2 first-quarter lead and never looked back, cruising to a 78-19 victory at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville.

The Warriors held Sarah Lawrence to a mere 11 first-half points behind a stifling defense. Jerome Chan had five of the Warriors’ 24 total steals; the Warriors also forced 37 turnovers.

Offensively, Vaughn was led by sophomore Al-Ameen Kabba, who had 17 points on 8-for-12 shooting. Kabba added seven rebounds and a steal. Sophomore Jihad Ceaser had his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds and freshman Matt Warren added 12 points and eight rebounds.

The Warriors host John Jay College Tuesday (Nov. 16) at 7 p.m. at Elmcor Recreational Facility.
