Rebounding from a difficult loss to Drew University, the Vaughn College Warriors cruised to a 39-9 halftime lead and defeated Sarah Lawrence College, 68-23, on Thursday (Nov. 17) in Bronxville, N.Y. The Warriors improved to 3-2 this season under first-year coach Jon Hochberg.

“I was pleased with our effort and intensity tonight,” Hochberg said. “We did a very good job defensively putting pressure on their guards and creating turnovers. Playing back-to-back games on the road is not easy but we handled it well and brought more energy tonight.”

The Warriors were led by Ryan Burchette, who scored 16 points and added five rebounds. Jihad Ceaser and Raymond Allman contributed 12 points apiece. Vaughn hosts Kings College at 7 p.m. today at ElmCor Recreation Center. Vaughn’s women’s team plays Kings at 5 p.m.
