With a 4-1 league record and one regular-season game remaining, the Vaughn College Warriors have secured the second seed in the upcoming Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference playoffs. The Warriors will play St. Joseph’s College at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Albany College of Pharmacy.

Audio from all playoff games will be available at the HVMAC website here.

Defending champ Berkeley earned the top seed with a 6-0 league record. Vaughn’s final record will be determined by Tuesday’s (Feb. 14) game against Pratt Institute, which is winless in the HVMAC. St. Joseph’s is 4-2 but even if Pratt defeats Vaughn on Tuesday, the Warriors retain the No. 2 seed by virtue of their 67-64 win over St. Joseph’s on Jan. 26.

Berkeley College will play 3-3 Albany Pharmacy at 1 P.M. on Saturday (Feb. 18) with Vaughn and St. Joseph’s College following. The championship game is Sunday (Feb. 19) at 2 p.m. at Albany.

Looking ahead, the Warriors defeated Albany Pharmacy, 69-61, on Jan. 22, but lost twice this season to Berkeley, 86-48 on Nov. 6 and 89-60 on Saturday (Feb. 11).

It is the third consecutive season the Warriors have qualified for the HVMAC playoffs. Tournament brackets and previews can be found at the league’s men’s basketball homepage here.
