Despite 12 points and three rebounds from freshman Joe Douglas, the Vaughn College Warriors fell to 6-6 this season, losing to Montclair State University, 67-42, in Montclair, N.J. on Tuesday night.

The win was Montclair State’s eighth in a row as it improved to 8-1. Montclair State led from start to finish, including a 14-2 lead five minutes into the game. Vaughn trimmed the lead to 19-17 with about eight minutes remaining in the first half but got no closer.

Sophomore Jihad Ceasar had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Warriors, who next play on Jan. 2 at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Al-Ameen Kabba added six points and four rebounds for Vaughn.
