The VCAT robotics team won the VEX college scrimmage held on the main campus on Saturday, December 9. Robotics teams came from New Jersey Institute of Technology, New York Institute of Technology, Rochester Institute Of Technology and IFT Robotics from Hartford, Connecticut to compete at Vaughn in preparation for future competitions. This year’s challenge, “In The Zone” presented challenges for veteran and newer members of the VCAT robotics team.

“We felt really good about the performance, and freshman members on the team are already looking forward to their next competition in February,” said
team member Bilal Rashid ’18.

This is a step toward a return to the world championship for team VCAT. The next competition for the robotics team will be the VEX-U qualifier held on campus on Friday, January 12.
