On Friday, February 27, the management department’s speaker series returned to Vaughn College.  To kick off the spring series, Dr. Maxine Lubner management department chair, invited aviation industry representatives to introduce their books to the Vaughn community.  William McGee, author of “Attention All Passengers” is an award-winning journalist and former adviser to the Secretary of Transportation. Barbara Peterson, author of “Blue Streak” is the senior correspondent for aviation at Conde Nast Traveler and has written articles that have appeared in numerous media outlets.  Stephen Carbone is the author of “JetBlast” and has a 30-year run with the aviation industry, which includes investigative reporting of airline accidents.  The session was introduced by Carmine Gallo, the eastern regional administrator of the federal aviation administration (FAA).  Each of the speakers shared their personal accounts and first-hand accounts of happenings within the aviation industry.   The speakers also encouraged aspirations of achievements in the aviation industry and encouraged the students to ask questions.

Join us for the second installment in the speaker series as the management department introduces the Hon. Robert Sumwalt on Monday, April 27.
