Beginning October 14, the Vaughn Robotics Club participated in the VEX U robotics competition in Cancun, Mexico.  The competition entitled “Nothing But Net” featured the top 16 robotics teams from all over the country. Vaughn’s Robotics team was ranked as one of the top six competitors at the 2015 VEX U Robotics world championship and continued their winning streak at the recent tournament at the Barceló Convention Center.

During the intense two-day competition, VCAT competed against nine teams where they won all nine matches putting them in first place. During the playoff round, the Robotics team remained undefeated through the quarterfinal, semifinal and final matches. In the end, the Vaughn robotics team completed 15 matches winning the tournament championship and receiving an additional award for best robotic programming of the competition.
