This summer, the Vaughn College community welcomed graduate students from the West Indies as part of the summer international internship program. Beginning June 21, the students have participated in a weeklong experience that includes interaction with key individuals who are active in the local and national level in aviation.

The international internship program was designed to enrich visiting students with cultural knowledge of the United States and professional knowledge of the US National Airspace, along with management strategies of airlines and airports. The students had the chance to visit New York City landmarks and tourist attractions including the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space museum, a Broadway play and a dinner cruise of Manhattan.

The students will receive grades after an intense week of classes based on an overall assessment of participation and assignments given.  To conclude their educational trip, the students took part in a farewell reception to recap the week and share their unique experience in the Big Apple.
