Students Ariadna Nobmann, Sehrish Butt and Bridgette Valencia represented Vaughn College at the annual Conference for Women Engineers in Chicago from Oct. 13 to 15.

The conference, hosted by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), brought together women involved in engineering and technology and provided networking and career opportunities. The Vaughn trio met with other students, professionals and representatives from companies such as Boeing, Honeywell and Lockheed Martin.

The three agreed attending the conference motivated them to embrace their futures and equipped them with the tools to surpass obstacles often encountered by women in the traditionally male-dominated field of engineering.
