President Dr. John C. Fitzpatrick updated the Vaughn College community on the status of campus renovations on Wednesday (April 17), outlining a timetable that will carry the institution through the end of the first year of the 25-month effort.

The project began in December with the start of the campus soundproofing project.

Renovations will enter their second phase in July with work beginning on hallways and in areas near the Teaching and Learning Center. Phase III is scheduled to begin in January 2013 with work planned in the admissions, financial aid and registrar offices.

According to Dr. Fitzpatrick, the College remains committed to minimizing inconveniences as work continues. To that end, the College will offer parking (up to a maximum of 23 spots) at the former Grumman property it leases at 96th Street and 23rd Avenue. Beginning in July, the College will offer shuttle bus service from that property to the campus for those who park there. Earlier, the College had secured some weekday parking at the Korean Church of Queens, on 23rd Avenue.
