Vaughn College’s Robotics Club finished a worthwhile weekend in Anaheim, California on Saturday with a top-35 finish in the Vex Robotics College Championship.

Vaughn lost its two matches on Saturday and was unable to qualify for Saturday’s elimination round. Still, Dr. Hossein Rahemi, who accompanied the team, believed good things lie ahead for the team and is already thinking about 2013’s competition.

“They a new team with new leadership,” Rahemi said. “They gained some maturity from being here and competing.”

Vaughn competed against the likes of Michigan State and Purdue Universities as well as several well-regarded international institutions.

“We have a nice team and will begin preparing for next year this summer,” Rahemi said.
