Vaughn College welcomed recently accepted and transfer students to campus with tours and information sessions. The day was led by a welcome from Elaine White, dean of students and Celso Alvarez, assistant vice president of admissions.

Student club representatives readily greeted new students in the main lobby along with advisers who introduced them to the on-campus environment and community. Following the welcome, students broke out to attend information sessions that described the academic offerings of the College. Academic resources such as the financial aid services and career services and more were also given.

“We’re happy to highlight the value of education that Vaughn offers our new students,” said White. “We also enjoy the opportunity to exemplify the vibrant campus life that they can expect.”

Families stayed in the hangar to hear more about residence life, student clubs and activities and general campus life from White and Alvarez. Following the sessions the AeroNAUGHTYcal Vibes hosted Afrikulture festival commenced with contributions from the African diaspora on music and cuisine. The WaFabu Dancers, ItalRain Band and NoSmallMoney accompanied the music club’s performance.
