Vaughn signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Silla University, an institution in Busan, South Korea on Wednesday, January 30. The MOU allows both colleges to explore opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, as well as assisting Silla in growing their aviation degree programs. President Dr. Sharon B. DeVivo and Domenic Proschia, vice president of training met with officials from Silla to come to the agreement and look forward to the prospects for international growth.

“Opportunities such as this allow our students to gain exposure internationally and sets them up for further success,” said DeVivo. “It also broadens the relationships that Vaughn is establishing.”

Proschia lead the group from Silla University on a tour of the Vaughn College main building as well as the Aviation Training Institute building in Astoria. The officials also viewed the Flushing neighborhood of Queens and enjoyed the culture that prospectively will be a new destination for future students in the aviation degree programs.
