The newly-named Academic Success Center (ASC) has just been unveiled by the academic affairs department and offers a variety of programs that complement the education received within the classroom. These programs and services include the Math and Writing Center, peer tutoring, supplemental instruction, workshops, advisement, and testing. It also provides a collaborative area to study. The ASC has operations on the first and second floors of the Library including other cross-departmental involvement to bolster the transformational education that the College strives for.

The ASC is the joint efforts of the Math and Writing Center, Starfish, Distance Learning, Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity program and Upward Bound program.

“Vaughn students can take pride in the fact that they always have academic success services, and any of the additional resources to support them throughout their academic journey,” remarked Dr. Edgar Troudt, associate vice president of academic affairs.
