Teams from Vaughn College finished second and third in a national robotics competition held before Thanksgiving at California University of Pennsylvania. As a result, the teams advanced to an international competition in mid-April in Kissimmee, Fla.

Brian Linhares, KinLok Poon, Marlon Medford and Chandra Mauli Nautiyal represented Vaughn on Nov. 20 at the VEX World Championships against three other college teams, including host California University. Team members were asked to program robots to pick up rings and place them on movable, shaking poles.
