Vaughn welcomed Neil Mansharamani, speechwriter at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), on Friday October 8. Mansharamani has been a speechwriter at the FAA since 2005. The Federal Aviation Administration is the largest transportation agency of the U.S. government and regulates all aspects of civil aviation in the country as well as over surrounding international waters. He has prepared presentations for the FAA administrator, deputy administrator, the ATO’s chief operating officer and many other senior executives.

With more than 15 years of experience in professional writing, participants were afforded the ability to learn how to write effectively by an industry expert. Mansharamani holds a doctorate in communication from the University of Maryland. He also served as a White House intern and has received numerous national awards for public speaking.

This session of the virtual speaker series focused on the benefits and opportunities of learning effective communication skills, how to manage tricky questions and tips on visual aids. Vaughn’s next installment of the speaker series will be on Wednesday, October 20 and will feature Bill McGee, passenger consumer advocate and the topic will focus on “Why Have Airline Passengers Gotten So Angry?”
