The management department and Boyuan Chen, president of the Chinese Student Association at Vaughn  introduced Liu Junhui, chief executive officer of Tengyun Air as part of the continuation of their speaker series.

The presentation focused on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in China. More than 30 participants joined to learn about the applications of drones for recreation and commerce and their advanced uses in China and the way regulations differ from the US.

This is crucial as future graduates will be exposed to working in increasingly diverse, multi-cultural, international settings. As a global industry, aviation and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles are helping to expand and improve our shared understanding of these fields.

Students were also able to learn about the geography of Shenzen and the economic benefits of the industry in China’s Silicon Valley.

The management department speaker series continues on Friday, March 12 with Honorable Chris Hart.
