On Friday, April 20 Vaughn College’s Engineering and Technology Department held its annual technology day and industry advisory council meeting. It is a day-long event consisting of presentations on the department’s current programs and anticipated new offerings, followed by a report on student engineering club activities and student technical paper and capstone degree project presentations.

The day was opened by Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Paul LaVerne who reminded the attendees of many of the successful Vaughn alumni of the engineering programs, including some who were in the room, before turning it over to Dr. Hossein Rahemi, engineering and department chair.

Council members, alumni and the department professors were all on hand to discuss current department activities and provide input on plans for future programs and concentrations.

Dr. Rahemi provided attendees with the annual journal, VCJET, a compilation of all information presented during the day and a recap of the department’s yearly activities.
