The offices of alumni affairs and career development collaborated to host a holiday reception on Thursday December 8. The reception was held to show appreciation to employers who have recruited at Vaughn, along with alumni and friends of the College.

Representatives from several companies were in attendance, including the Council for Airport Opportunity, Piedmont Airlines as well as graduates from various years. Director of Career Services Philip Meade praised the employers for investing in Vaughn students and looks forward to working closely with them in 2017.

Recent graduate Emily Shyu ’14 interned at the Department of Justice, John F. Kennedy International Air Terminal, and ended with a year long internship at Port Authority of New York and New Jersey where she was hired full-time before graduating.

Philip Meade welcomed guests to the reception along with Vaughn College President Dr. Sharon B. DeVivo.

“Thank you to the employers for active recruiting and hiring of our students” said Devivo.
