Guidance counselors from around New York gathered in the Main Lobby on Wednesday, March 22 for an introductory look at what Vaughn College offers prospective students. Following a serving of hors d’oeuvres and a buffet style lunch the counselors viewed a presentation and question and answer session to network and speak to Vaughn staff.

A total of 41 high schools and community colleges attended the reception making more than 65 attendees. Speakers included alumna Victoria Morales ’15 and Celso Alvarez, associate vice president of enrollment and David Sookdeo, senior associate director. Later, a tour of the campus included seeing the residence hall, the tower and the simulation labs.

“This is a chance for counselors to see what Vaughn College can do for prospective students, especially ones who are looking to continue with STEM studies,” said David Sookdeo.
