The office of alumni affairs and the engineering and technology department hosted the annual engineering alumni reception on Thursday, April 12. More than 15 alumni attended the reception at the College to speak with their former professors and classmates.

“We like our alumni to stay connected with other alums to ensure continued growth in the industry” said Michael Brady, assistant vice president of Institutional Advancement.

President Dr. Sharon B. DeVivo and Dr. Hossein Rahemi, chair of the engineering and technology department opened the event with a welcome to attendees. He addressed the new certifications that are available for computer-aided design and composite manufacturing as well as the updates on the robotics team progress heading into the VEX Worlds Competition.

“It was good to see other graduates who I knew during my undergraduate career and how they’ve progressed in the engineering industry,” said Beant Singh ’12. “Vaughn’s tight knit community is still there for us post-graduation.”
