We’re excited to announce that while safety conditions permit, we are providing new students the opportunity to visit campus (in small groups practicing social distancing, as needed). Students who register for a New Student Visit Day will have a chance to explore campus with their peers and their Orientation Leaders, experience campus living, and visit key campus buildings. The primary focus of our New Student Visit Days is to highlight and introduce the student and campus life experience.

Register for ONE of the following sessions here

  • August 6, Aviation Programs
  • August 13, Engineering and Management Programs

To provide the safest possible environment for your visit, we have instituted the following safety guidelines for campus visits:

  • All orientation participants on campus are required to wear a face mask while on campus. If you forget your mask, we will provide one for you.
  • All orientation participants must complete a travel and health assessment screening on the morning of your visit prior to coming to campus.

How Do You Access Orientation?

New students will be enrolled in the New Student Orientation seminar (NSO001). Once enrolled, you will access the online course. Orientation is supported through Vaughn College’s learning management system, D2L. D2L is the platform many of our faculty use and where the majority of your coursework will be located.  This is a great opportunity for you to get comfortable using D2L. You will receive access details and instructions via Vaughn email.  Only enrolled students will have access to orientation.

New Student Orientation is split into two experiences:

  • Synchronous event– everyone logs in at the same time to receive live/real-time information, approximately 90 minutes event.
  • Asynchronous experience– complete different modules at your own speed – that can take up to 4 hours to complete.

Please make sure you leave plenty of time to complete each portion of the program.

Our orientation team will be available to assist with your new student orientation experience and/or questions about your transition to Vaughn College.  Please feel free to contact us at .
