Flight Training for Futureproof Pilots

Whether you are pursuing flight training for the first time or looking to expand and combine your previous education experience, Vaughn College’s flight training opportunities will prepare you for the next steps in your career.

Once you have successfully completed Vaughn’s associate degree in aircraft operations, you now have the opportunity to take the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) examinations for the private pilot, instrument rating and commercial pilot certificates. Students who complete Vaughn’s bachelor’s degree in aircraft operations qualify for the multi-engine and certified flight instructor certificates. Pilots and flight engineers are also certified by the FAA.

Our flight certificates are flexible for both traditional and non-traditional students. Our goal is to allow everyone―new students entering flight training  for the first time and industry professionals eager to expand their knowledge―with the opportunity to take courses and complete the program in accordance with their schedules.

* Outcomes include data within one year of graduation for graduates who reported via survey. There was a total of 282 graduates in 2018. 220 reported an outcome for a 78% response rate. The 2018 graduate class includes September 2017, December 2017 and May 2018 graduates.
