Fall 2016 Showcases Vaughn College to Incoming Students
Vaughn College’s new student orientations sessions were held throughout the month of August for students beginning classes in fall 2016. More than 260 people attended the sessions that are designed to assist incoming students in achieving their educational goals and in the transition to college life. Additional session will be held during September for those who have been unable to attend.
“The incoming class has already impressed me with their enthusiastic response to new student orientation,” said Jack Gormley, dean of students. “We have a talented group of first-year and new transfer students who appear ready to engage in campus life and bring their many diverse talents and interests to the Vaughn community. I am grateful for the students who have already participated in orientation and I look forward to meeting the students who will attend one of our upcoming sessions.”
The sessions provided students with the opportunity to meet future classmates, learn about the campus and its resources, meet faculty in their potential degree majors and get involved in campus activities and leadership.
“No matter what program or degree a student plans to earn at Vaughn, orientation is the very best way to get started. Our goal is to share helpful information and introduce new students to the faculty and staff who will help them succeed in their studies and capitalize on life in New York City,” added Gormley
