Academic Success Center

Students may self-identify through the disabilities coordinator at a later date. The Title 504 and “Americans with Disabilities Act” compliance officer at the College is Mr. Frank Wang, Executive Director of the Academic Success Center, whose office is in Room L204. Mr. Wang can be reached at frank.wang@vaughn.edu.

The College’s testing center handles the testing and placement of all incoming students in cooperation with our admissions office. Appointments for taking the Accuplacer test for English and math course placements are made through the admissions office. The testing center is also a resource for students who need college testing accommodations for their classes.

Our tutors can provide extra support which students may need during their academic careers at Vaughn. Students who need tutoring in different subjects have the option of turning to their peers for extra help. Our peer tutors work with their fellow students on a one-on-one or small group basis.
Additionally, there is a study space where individuals and small groups can go to work on group projects or cram for that all-important exam. Our tutors are approachable, helpful and comforting to many students on campus.

The Academic Success Advisers and Coaches Office provide student-centered support by guiding students through academic planning, course registration, connecting them with resources and helping them stay on track toward successful program completion and graduation.
