VICTORIA MORALES, CLASS OF ’15
Victoria Morales knew she wanted to come to Vaughn College from the moment she arrived on campus.
“I attended the spring open house at Vaughn during my senior year of high school,” she said. “I was amazed by the campus as soon as I got here; I was sold almost immediately.”
Morales, an aircraft operations major, discovered her interest in aviation at an early age, traveling cross-country regularly to compete in gymnastics competitions. Amazed by airports and the thrill of flying in airplanes, Morales came to Vaughn as an airport management major, and after earning her associate degree transitioned to the bachelor of science program to begin her flight training.
“After graduation I’m going to continue flying and I’d love to help Vaughn’s future flight students, either on campus or at our flight school partner, Heritage Flight Academy.” Morales said.
In addition to classes and flight training, Morales has attended the Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) Air Venture convention in Osh Kosh, WI for the past two summers on behalf of Vaughn. The convention provides an opportunity for aviation industry leaders, engineers and general enthusiasts to network and to showcase their work and aircraft. She also maintains an active presence on campus, working part time in the office of admissions.
“I’ve made life-long friends and memorable experiences at Vaughn,” she said with a smile. “I’m confident that it only goes up from here.”
