FAA-UAS Certificate Program

Vaughn College presents a cutting-edge program that prepares you to become an uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) operator and earn 11 Vaughn College credits while still enrolled in high school.

Learn to fly, build and design drones and prepare for a successful college career.

About the program

This certificate program provides students with a foundation in UAS design, construction and manufacturing, hands-on experience in 3D printing and the knowledge and skills needed to earn the remote pilot certificate for operating a UAS.

Students will experience college-readiness skills, state-of-the-art laboratories and lab exercises, such as designing drone frames, assembling a drone and developing advanced applications. Instruction is provided by top professors at Vaughn who have exceled in their fields, giving you the inside track with key information on career outlook, industry know-how, current trends and skills required for success.

Career opportunities

Graduates of this certificate program will be prepared to obtain positions that require UAS design, manufacturing, application and operations knowledge and skills that are current with today’s industry trends.
