Vaughn welcomed new students on campus to ask questions and get answers to aid their college transition on Friday, January 5. Vaughn’s student affairs and admissions departments led the session and were accompanied by a speaker panel of faculty and staff that represented the different departments that students will have to interact with during the course of their academic career.
Students had the opportunity to meet with academic advisers and faculty, finalize their spring class schedules, tour the campus, and meet with fellow classmates and make friends.
“We understand that incoming students can be overwhelmed when they start and we want to give them knowledge of all of the resources that are available to them,” said Elaine White, dean of students. “Students being able to recognize the tool that will lead them to success is our priority.”
The Spring semester begins Tuesday, January 16.
