Students, alumni, staff and friends were invited to gather together to watch the New York Mets take on the Washington Nationals at one of the final home games of the 2025 season. The event provided the opportunity for the group to take photos with their coworkers and friends on the field before the game. Those in attendance received a free pop-up home run apple upon entry. During the game, the Vaughn community sat in prime home run territory and had a great view of pitchers warming up in the bullpen, and one Vaughn student caught a baseball during the game.

“One-hundred Vaughn College faithful Mets fans got together to see their team dominate the Nationals,” said Stephen DeSalvo, assistant vice president and chief development officer of the office of institutional advancement and engagement. “Alumni, students, staff and friends of the College made wonderful memories together that night both on the field and in the stands.”
