Vaughn President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Sharon B. DeVivo and Jeniffer Guardia ’25, mechanical engineering student, travelled to Dublin, Ireland last November to represent the College at the 36th annual International Aerospace Womens Association (IAWA) conference. IAWA is an international organization for women who hold positions of impact in the aviation and aerospace industry. The organization strives to bring together women of achievement and promotes their advancement throughout the world. The conference is IAWA’s signature event held in the fall of each year. It unites leading women in aviation and aerospace for an inspiring series of discussions on industry advancements, gender equity and the future of flight.

“Throughout the conference, I gained valuable lessons from leaders who established the way for women in this industry,” said Guardia. “Their stories of resilience, innovation, and constant commitment were not only eye-opening but also deeply motivating. This experience has reinforced my determination to push the boundaries and work for excellence in aviation, knowing that we are all part of a community that values progress and inclusion.”
