On September 19, 2025, the Hon. John Goglia was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame for his contributions to the aviation industry over the course of his career. Goglia was the first National Transportation Safety Board member to hold Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant mechanic licenses, is an internationally recognized expert in aviation safety and has appeared in many accident investigation television programs. He is a valued adjunct professor in the management department at Vaughn and is always passing on his knowledge to the next generation of aviation professionals.  

When Goglia was called to the stage, he received a standing ovation from the crowd of more than 500 attendees. During his acceptance speech, he encouraged audience members to educate and mentor student groups. Dr. Maxine Lubner, Vaughn’s management department chair, presented Goglia with a letter of recognition and congratulations from President DeVivo at the event.  

Comedian Nathan Fielder also attended the event to show his support for Goglia. Goglia appeared in season 2 of Fielder’s Emmy-nominated HBO series ‘The Rehearsal.’
