Fourth Annual Scholarship Luncheon
Vaughn College hosted its 4th annual scholarship luncheon on Friday, November 14, where students met the donors who were supporting them and helping to make their college journey possible. More than 60 donor-funded scholarships totaling nearly $380,000 were awarded–both record numbers for the College.
Donors present at the event included representatives from the Wings Club, Valley National Bank, Ventura Air Services, ATL Partners, Thomas A. Broschart, George A. Vaughn Jr., Daniel Turner and Sue Baer Memorial scholarships. The JFK Chamber of Commerce was honored at the luncheon for their support of Vaughn College students with its scholarship that was established in 2003.
“We offered this scholarship to Vaughn because we felt it was important to show our support to a local academic organization specializing in aviation that was in a proximity to the Port Authority airports of LaGuardia, Kennedy, and Newark,” said Phil Jensen, JFK Chamber of Commerce member.
