Jessica Caron was initially inclined toward high school guidance counseling. That changed when she was offered the chance to work in the career services department at Vaughn College.
“It was a unique opportunity,” Caron says. “I liked that the school was specialized; aviation, engineering and aeronautics are all interesting to me.”
Caron is the College’s assistant director of career services, working for director Phil Meade. Meade calls her “a natural-born career counselor.”
Caron finds the opportunity to build lasting relationships with Vaughn’s students the most satisfying part of her position. “It’s nice to hear the thank-yous,” she says. “It’s one of the best feelings to know you’ve helped a student.”
