Vaughn College is embracing its future with a multimillion dollar campus renovation designed to better meet the needs of its growing, diverse and dedicated student population.
We have just reached the completion of the first major phase of the construction project. The west area of the building will be reopened in September and most of the temporary classrooms will be moving back into locations there. The building will house newly renovated, updated classrooms including the physics, avionics, mechatronics, robotics, ATI and computer labs – and all computers have been replaced with new models.
During the fall semester, a new glass enclosed entrance on 23rd Street will open providing direct access to the simulator labs and classrooms located at the west end of the building. The new NextGen air traffic control simulator lab will also be opened at this time.
Construction will now begin in the middle section of the building where the L and F temporary classrooms were located. In addition, work is beginning on the new, two-story library and learning commons that will be permanently located in the west end of the building at 86th Street.
