Quick Start Summer Immersion Program is a FREE mathematics and English intensive experience for students with placement in developmental math and English. The program provides an opportunity to refresh and improve core mathematical competencies by allowing students to work through an accelerated six-week program to move closer towards college level math and writing. The program will run during Summer Session II (link to academic calendar page).
While this is not a credit bearing program, successful completion of the placement exam at the end of the program will qualify a student to move to the next-level math and/or English course.
For example, if the student passes fundamentals of algebra, they can begin their education at fundamentals of pre-Calculus. Students that pass the pre-Calculus can begin in Calculus or Calculus for Engineers. Interested? Contact asoadvisement@vaughn.edu or call 718-429-6600 ext. 230

Welcome to the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 560, New York City. Our goal is to train and develop qualified students ito future leaders as commissioned officers in the United States Air Force or United States Space Force, all the while still enjoying a normal college life.
In the Air Force ROTC, you’ll not only build lifelong friendships, but may qualify for either our full or partial scholarships to help offset the costs of school. Not only do these cover tuition, but they come with book stipends and a monthly cash deposit to help with the travel costs and daily living expenses of a college student. Most importantly, unlike many other college students, you’ll have a rewarding, well-paying career waiting for you after graduation.
AFROTC offers both three and a four-year commissioning programs, each with their own unique advantages. The three-year program allows students to enroll in their sophomore year, while the four-year program is geared toward college freshmen. For high school students interested in attending Vaughn College and applying to AFROTC, check out the High School Scholarship Program at www.afrotc.com. You can also attend AFTOC as a transfer or graduate student.
AFROTC Detachment 560 is located at Manhattan University in the Bronx. To participate, students need to attend in person at MU, once a week on Fridays. You can find more information at www.Det560.com, you can also contact Det 560 at afrotc@manhattan.edu if you have questions.
