Hossein Rahemi, PhD

Hossein Rahemi, PhD, chair of the Vaughn's engineering and technology department, has assisted many students through their degree projects—from development through technical writing.

An expert in the field of vibration, fracture mechanics and reliability analysis, Dr. Rahemi teaches engineering and materials mechanics. His research background makes him the perfect mentor for students pursuing engineering and engineering technology careers.

Dr. Rahemi is also instrumental in Vaughn students participating in the VEX Robotics World Championship, the Latin American and Caribbean Conference for Engineering and Technology (LACCEI) and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Conference.

His most recent book is Engineering Analysis—A Finite Difference and Finite Element Numerical Approach with MATLAB Programming. He received his PhD from Virginia Tech.
