Warriors Run Past Culinary Institute

Rupy Avila scored 21 points and Jihad Ceaser and Mahdi Macbahi added 19 points apiece as the Vaughn College Warriors ended a three-game losing streak and defeated the Culinary Institute of America, 80-48, Sunday (January 9).

The Warriors improved to 7-8 overall in recording their second win this season over Culinary. The Warriors defeated Culinary, 64-43, on November 21.

Avila connected on 7 of 10 field-goal attempts, including 2 of 3 from three-point range. The Warriors host Pratt Institute at the Elmcor Recreation Center on Thursday night. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
