October 18, 2012
Vaughn College Assistant Professor Yougashwar Budhoo, PhD, attended the Engineering Technology Leadership Institute (ETLI) Conference 2012 at the North Carolina A&T State University from October 5-7.
The theme this year focused on today's workforce and how engineering and technology can help increase the number of well-educated and innovative engineers in the nation.
The conference referenced the fact that due to the advancement of technology, students need to develop global competence to be competitive and valuable in the job market. According to Professor Budhoo, "The topics discussed are highly relevant to my classes and I will work with students to ensure they develop the skills necessary to function as ‘global engineers.'"
ETLI brings engineering technology educators together to discuss topics of importance in the engineering technology discipline, as well as to prepare young engineering technology faculty for a later career in administration. The Conference has been held annually since 1976.
