Vaughn Honors Top Students at Awards Ceremony
September 20, 2012
Vaughn College's top scholars were recognized at its semiannual Academic Honors ceremony on Thursday, September 20 in the main lobby. Over 300 students with high grade point averages were named to the Spring 2012 Faculty's List, Dean's List or President's List.
Vaughn faculty and staff joined parents and family members who were all on hand to congratulate the students on their achievements. "This is an incredibly impressive group of students and it is wonderful to see many familiar faces who continue to set examples for their peers through their stellar academic performance," said Senior Vice President Dr. Sharon DeVivo.
Drs. Andrew Grossfield, Maxine Lubner and Paul LaVergne presented students with individual certificates to recognize their achievements. Students whose grade point averages were between 3.50 and 3.67 (Faculty's List); 3.68 and 3.84 (Dean's List); and 3.85 and 4.0 (President's List) made up the group being honored.
Bill Puckhaber, the publisher of Airport Press, was also on hand to present the JFK Chamber of Commerce Scholarship to recipient Julio Garcia.
