Men's Soccer Team Wins Season Opener

The Vaughn College men's soccer team raced to a 5-0 first-half lead and defeated Webb Institute, 8-2, in Glen Cove, N.Y. on Saturday (Sept. 10). It was the second straight year the Warriors have scored eight goals against Webb; last year, the Warriors defeated Webb 8-4.
The Warriors were led by junior Kibuki Mesquita, who scored four goals. Freshmen Oluwaseyi Fasoye, Omar Eissa and Juan Montoya scored one each for the Warriors. Fasoye had three assists while Mesquita and Eissa each had single assists.
