Friends and Family Gather for Alumni Weekend

May 7, 2013

More than 200 people attended Vaughn College's Family, Friends and Alumni Weekend on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27. The weekend began Friday night with dinner and a trip to see the Mets versus Phillies at Citi Field, and concluded on Saturday with Vaughn's campus transformed into a fun-filled, festival atmosphere with food, rides, music and games. Faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends were in attendance enjoying the sunny, spring day and featured activities.

Attendees were treated to rides in state-of-the-art flight simulators, games and prizes, caricatures and face painting. The event sponsors included the Aviation Café, Oak Beverage, Dan Cajigas, Dinas Corp., DJ Spynfo and The Garden at Studio Square NYC.

"This is the second year we hosted this event and we are thrilled that so many alumni, students and their families joined us to connect with one another and the institution," said Amanda Talty, assistant vice president, development and alumni affairs. "The day was beautiful and its great to show everyone how wonderful Vaughn College is. We are already looking forward to next year!"
