Engineering Professors to Attend NSF Grants Conference
January 30, 2013
Engineering and technology faculty members, Dr. Yougashwar Budhoo, professor, and Dr. Amir Elzawawy, assistant professor, have been selected to attend the National Science Foundation (NSF) Grants Conference on March 11-12, 2013. The conference, hosted by Howard University in Arlington, VA, will focus on NSF current funding opportunities including new programs and initiatives, future directions and strategies for the national science policy.
Educators can gain key insight into a wide range of important topics such as proposal preparation, NSF's merit review process, cross-disciplinary and special interest programs, and conflict of interest policies.
"This is a great opportunity for Vaughn College representatives to meet with NSF program managers and discuss specific funding opportunities," said Dr. Elzawawy. "The knowledge we gain will assist us when applying for scientific grants in the future."
