Vaughn College paid tribute to 10 resident students on Sunday (Dec. 4) at its first National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH).
The NRHH is a national organization that advocates for the interests and welfare of students who live in college residence halls. It shares resources, programs and development opportunities with other members of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls. Sunday's event acknowledged the contributions of the 10 students to the atmosphere that defines life in Vaughn's residence hall.
"The NRHH provides recognition for students who have contributed to the advancement of college and university housing," explained Janel Keeys, the College's director of residence life and student affairs. "We are very proud of these 10 students."
Students David Arez, Elroy Brown, Lezlie Braxton Campbell, Oscar Jumelles, Alysia Lewis, Frederick Lindor, Anthony Messam, Jared Ndiba, Jennifer Rosati and Sahiri Villanueva were inducted into the honorary. The College also awarded honorary induction to staff members Dr. Sharon DeVivo, Kamla Holland, Keeys and Christopher Salcedo.
