Life at Vaughn

Library Collection >

Vaughn College is continually adding to, and updating, our substantial collection of materials, which includes books, periodicals, computerized aircraft manuals, and software. These materials are accessible by faculty and students through the following manner:

  • Regular circulation: These materials can be signed out only by Vaughn students, staff and faculty for a two-week period. If a book is still needed (and hasn't been requested by another) it can be renewed for an additional two weeks.
  • Reference: These items–which include periodicals–do not circulate and must remain in the library. Vaughn has also added an online reference database, Credo, which is available through our password protected research databases.
  • Reserve: Located in the staff work area, this collection is comprised of textbooks used for classes, additional class reading materials, and "overnight" books. The "overnight" books circulate for a two-day period and can be renewed.

We also offer faculty, staff and students online access to a wealth of research databases with a Vaughn email address and to a collection of DVDs. DVDs can only be signed out by faculty for use in class, may be viewed by students in the academic resource center and returned, or signed out overnight by students, staff or faculty and circulate for a two-day period.
